2-day certificate course
Professional testing of electrical installations and equipment in accordance with DGUV Regulation 3, VDE 0100-600, VDE 0105-100, VDE 0701, VDE 0702, and VDE 0113-1
Testing of Electrical Installations, Equipment and Machinery
For your German-speaking employees, we offer the course in German.
In this intensive seminar, qualified electricians (EFK) will learn how to currectly and efficiently perform tests on electrical installations and equipment. Participants will acquire the qualification to act as competent persons for testing electrical equipment.
The aim is to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical systems. Regular inspections by qualified electricians help prevent accidents, ensure compliance and extend the lifespan of electrical installations.
The trainer provides comprehensive insights into key testing and measurement procedures (functional testing, safety testing, performance testing) using test models and appropriate measuring technology.
A special feature: You are welcome to bring your own testing and measuring equipment for hands-on use during the seminar.
Key topics of this seminar include protective conductor (PE) testing, insulation resistance measurement, checks on devices such as residual current devises (RCD), alternative testing and troubleshooting methods. Another focal point is the technical evaluation and critical interpretation of measurement results within the complex framework of electrical standards.
The requirement for the testing and select qualified personnel are derived from BetrSichV, ArbSchG, ProdSG and DGUV Regulation 3. These stipulate initial testing, periodic testing and protective measures for electrical equipment after repair in accordance with standards such as VDE 0100-600, VDE 0105-100, VDE 0701, VDE 0702 and VDE 0113-1.
Course objective
- Gain knowledge of new and updated standards.
- Develop proficiency in using measurement technology to professionally and safely test electrical equipment, systems, and machinery in line with current technological standards and relevant DIN VDE regulations.
- Understand protective measures for various electrical network systems and recognize their respective advantages and disadvantages.
- Identify the causes of harmonics and stray currents, and learn strategies to prevent or reduce them.
- Recognize typical faults in electrical systems and learn methods to diagnose and address them.
- Practice: Engage in hands-on sessions using test models and appropriate measurement equipment to gain in-depth insights into essential testing and measurement procedures.
Special feature: Participants are encouraged to bring their own testing and measuring equipment for on-site use.
