This Workshop will focus on the status and challenges, regarding the dietary risk assessment of biocides.
So far, only two of three envisaged guidances for biocide residue transfer to food have been finalised: The ‘Guidance on Estimating Livestock Exposure to Active Substances used in Biocidal Products’ and the ‘Guidance on estimating dietary risk from transfer of biocidal active substances into foods – non-professional uses’. However, the third guidance “Guidance on Estimating Transfer of Biocidal Active Substances into Foods – Professional Uses’ is still a draft, despite many promises from ECHA to make it final. This means there is uncertainty among both applicants and authorisation board…
