TMap Suite® Test Engineer

The IT industry is changing rapidly, and the subject of tester is therefore becoming increasingly complex. In recent years, the number of new development methods, people and technologies in IT has increased. The importance of excellent software quality is also increasing. All aspects of daily life are now fully supported by the use of software. The TMap Suite is the result of a complete innovation layer in TMap to optimally support a tester in a new era. The TMap test method has a long history: TMap is the leading test standard. Hundreds of organizations apply - worldwide - TMAP. The TMap Suite offers all possibilities to cope with the test challenges of this era.

This module is based on 3 sources that collectively describe the TMap Suite. These are:

• The book "Neil's quest for quality, a TMap HD story". This describes the new TMap Human Driven approach that was specially developed for the new Agile and Human Driven World, which penetrates more and more organizations. No longer is the process leading, but the team (including the testers) decides how to achieve the desired result with a quality-driven approach.
• The book "TMap NEXT for performance-driven testing”. This is the approach that fits more with traditional development environments that are still relevant to many organizations.
• The building blocks of the website www.tmap.net. These describe specific solutions for test problems that can be applied flexibly by testers in their running suit.

Target audience

The TMap® Suite Test Engineer module is primarily intended for people who are in the daily practice with tests: (Novice) professional testers. The module is also suitable for users, developers and administrators involved in testing information systems and software products. General knowledge in system development and half a year to one year work experience in the field of testing is recommended.

Context

Certified TMap® Suite Test Engineers know how to prepare, specify, and perform tests, which techniques, infrastructure and tools can be used for this and how they can apply the testing in different environments. In this module, the test coordination and management tasks, such as drawing up a test plan and making a budget, are not tested. This is part of the TMap® Suite Test Manager module.
