DaU Certified Data & Analytics Tester (CDAT) (English Spoken)

During this 2-day course at foundation level you will learn about data and analytics; what is it and how to test in a data & analytics environment. The testing strategies and methods are based on international testing and data management standards (e.g. ISTQB, DAMA) with a specific and practical translation to the data & analytics environment.

The course is set up in such a way that both data professionals and testing professionals get to share a common framework, creating ‘one language’ regarding testing in data & analytics environments. Accordingly, candidates will learn how to analyze risks, define a purposeful testing strategy and design test cases to reach and improve the quality goals. Also, candidates will learn to improve governance of the testing environment, taking privacy and information security into consideration.

Subjects
After this training, you will:
• be able to define a testing strategy - and to translate it to an efficient test approach in data-oriented environments and -projects.
• become familiar with useful test design techniques applicable to data & analytics projects.
• be able to distinguish between different data quality attributes, measure them and understand and apply data profiling techniques
• have become familiar with the specifics of the test environments and security- and privacy aspects.

Requirements
No specific education and/or training is required. Knowledge of ISTQB is an advantage but not required.

The course is designed for testing professionals, business analysts, data warehouse developers and BI-consultants.

Exam
After this course, attendees may plan an exam with Brightest (at additional costs). After passing this (multiple choice, 40 questions) exam successfully, the attendee will be rewarded with the internationally acclaimed certificate “DAU Certified Data & Analytics Tester (Foundation Level)” including a Credly™ Badge to demonstrate the new acquired knowledge.

Armando is a DAU Master Trainer, co-author of the syllabus for Certified Data & Analytics Tester and has trained many groups. Armando holds several ISTQB and TMap®Next certifications and demonstrates over two decades of experience in ICT of which the last 9 years in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and/or Analytics focused environments.

Rogier Ammerlaan
Rogier is a DAU Master Trainer and has been active for many years in the disciplines of software quality and agile development, both in Finance and Industrial Automation. As a professional trainer, Rogier has provided a vast number of trainings varying from testing to business analysis. Rogier is also co-author of the CDAT Syllabus.
