The Ableton 201 course is a continuation of the introduction course, and will present you with essential tools for becoming a successful producer in Ableton Live. At the end of the four weeks you will know how to use various effects (the limiter, the gate and the compressor amongst others), how to slice loops within drumracks and how to apply sidechaining. You will also get an insight into the world of sampling.
During the last week of the course you will produce your own song, having learned how to use the built in instruments and effects to create beats, bass lines and melodic parts. This is when you will bring everything together and learn how to prepare a live performance using the songs…
