The goal of the 2-day Adobe FrameMaker XML Applications course is to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to work with XML and structured FrameMaker effectively. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the basics of XML, its syntax and structure, elements, attributes, and the overview of DTD, XML Schema, and XSLT. They will also learn how to create structured documents with elements and attributes, check for validity, and create an EDD with formatting instructions.
On the second day, attendees will learn about advanced topics such as read/write rules, XML round-tripping, and tips for working with structured documents in FrameMaker. They will also get an overview of advanced XML concepts like namespaces, entities, and CDATA sections. Additionally, they will learn about the XSLT transformation process and how to create and apply XSLT stylesheets to transform XML content into various formats like PDF, HTML, or EPUB. They will also be able to customize XSLT stylesheets to meet specific requirements.
