Operations and Logistics Management

This course, aimed at professionals without an academic background in business administration, builds key competences with respect to the core value creating functions of businesses and organizations. It covers industrial and retail logistics as well as manufacturing and service operations management. In a first part, participants are made familiar with fundamental tasks, tools and techniques of logistics and production management based on real-world examples and cases. In a second part, participants learn to analyze and resolve
strategic issues of operations management based on cases taken from service and manufacturing industries. Topics include strategic performance measurement and alignment, capacity management, technology management, supplier and customer relationship management, organization, and improvement in operations.
