The platform provides an API and runtime environment for developing and running enterprise software, including network and web services, and other large-scale, multi-tiered, scalable, reliable, and secure network applications. Java EE extends the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE), providing an API for object-relational mapping, distributed and multi-tier architectures, and web services. Java EE includes several API specifications, such as JDBC, RMI, e-mail, JMS, web services, XML, etc., and defines how to coordinate them. The platform incorporates a design based largely on modular components running on an application server. This training provides you with an overview of the Java EE technologies with presentations, case studies and examples as well as some hands-on labs. All in all, it takes you on a tour through the different layers of an enterprise application covering the main technologies and showing their relationships and interdependencies.
