Introduction

With few exceptions, companies today rely on IT for the delivery of business-critical services, often directly to the end consumer. IT-Managers are facing the constant pressure to deliver (new) hi-availability services at an ever increasing faster pace and rate of change.

Good IT management has the ability to assess the value and level of risk associated with operations and large scale projects, finding ways of realising potential and minimising risk, and being able to see the business strategy through the eyes of the senior management team.
